The Russian History Museum presents a new special exhibition, Mysteries and Odysseys, will open on July 16, 2023.

The exhibition will feature recent discoveries that shed new light on museum artifacts, and highlight noteworthy historical materials that were donated to the museum over the last five years.

Exhibited materials include a range of remarkable objects, such as:

  • Strands of hair belonging to a young Nicholas II that were part of a New York State Police investigation
  • Unique photographs of pioneers of Russian aviation (and their monkey mascot)
  • A parchment document signed by Catherine the Great

The exhibition will also trace the unlikely journeys of objects in the Russian History Museum’s collection, and tell the intriguing stories of their owners.
