The museum is situated on the beautiful grounds of Holy Trinity Monastery, a site listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The surrounding area is rich with diverse cultural opportunities.
NEW YORK STATE THRUWAY – Take Exit 30. At the traffic light after the toll booth, turn left onto Mohawk Street and continue through the next traffic light onto East Main Street. Make a left onto Route 28 South. Drive 7.5 miles, then turn left onto Jordanville Road at the yellow flashing light. After the stop sign, continue on Jordanville Road/Route 167. At the first curve after the village of Jordanville, bear left to stay on 167 North. In one mile, keep left to continue on Robinson Road. The parking lot will be on your right.

Visitors to the Russian History Museum are welcome to tour the grounds of Holy Trinity Monastery, a site listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and to stop by the monastery gift shop.

Please be advised that visitors to Holy Trinity Monastery, an active Orthodox Christian monastic community, are asked to dress appropriately.
- Women: No shorts, no revealing tops, no short skirts. Women who would like to visit the church should wear skirts and a head covering.
- Men: No shorts, no hats inside church or other monastery buildings.
