The Russian Silver Age and Its Legacy (Video)

June 20th, 2025Second Saturdays

On Saturday, June 14, Dr. Galina Rylkova presented “The Russian Silver Age and Its Legacy” as a part of the Russian History Museum’s Second Saturday online lecture series.

Why was the Silver Age such a special time in Russian history?

In her lecture, Dr. Rylkova describes the cultural scene in Russia prior to WWI, known as the Silver Age. What is special about it is not so much the period itself, but the ways in which it has been remembered and commemorated.
